Batiste Instant hair refresh dry shampoo Review

Winters are the weirdest time for hair and maintaining healthy hair. Scalp gets oily, hair itself is dry as twigs, and on top of everything, washing hair in winters is a dreadful task. 

This was always something I had struggled with, especially when working out regularly. I sweat a lot, in all seasons and maintaining hair after staying active in winters was always a pain.  

Somewhere in 2017, I came across dry shampoos for the first time. DIY dry shampoos and the one from Batiste. But at that point, DIY was the only option for me, cause my salary couldn't support my indulgence of expensive dry shampoos. 

Gratefully, by 2019, I could afford this indulgence and have tried multiple dry shampoos since, and today we are talking about my favorite winter product, which has become an essential for me. After finishing another bottle of the Batiste Dry Shampoo for hair, this winter 

Let's jump into the review of the Batiste Instant hair refresh dry shampoo , the original variant

The Batiste original dry shampoo is available in Indian to purchase on Amazon right now and is priced at 899 INR for 200 ml. 

The other variants, with fragrance etc is priced at 999 INR

Product 

The original Batiste dry shampoo is a powdery spray. You need to shake the bottle well and spray the dry shampoo on your hair roots . Especially where ever you feel you need your scalp refreshed or have a lot of oil and sebum. The dry shampoo spray has a mild citrusy fragrance which fades away in a few minutes. This is made of starches, Rice starch particularly. That is why before you frisk the product in, there might be some white patches formed, which goes away , so it suits all hair colors as well.

The Batiste Dry shampoo is also great if you are physically active and sweat a lot on from your head. This helps me manage my hair in between washes when I am actively working out.  

Packaging

The packaging is the star here honestly, if the spray didn't work as smoothly as it does, the product wouldn't have had such a fan following. 

This comes ina metal spray bottle, a conventional hair spray packaging with bright and colorfull designs on it. 

My experience  

I have loved every use of this Batiste Dry shampoo, cause it actually does instantly refresh my hair. The spray is a very even spray, not that weird on and off spray, helps apply the product very smoothly. I frisk my hair with my head upside down, like french women do to get some volume in their hair, but with Batiste sprayed in. I have never had a scalp breakout because of this, which was something I was initially scared of since I have a sensitive scalp. 

The Batiste dry shampoo is a cult favorite and I think the best dry shampoo available globally for a reason. It works within a few seconds, making my hair fresh and bouncy from oily and limp. Leaves a fresh feeling anf fragrance. In India it is a bit expensive, but if you divide it per use, it is not costly at all! 

Always apply it directly to the roots of the hair, not on the scalp, don't deposit the product there, else you won't get good results. 

I have tried a few other dry shampoos, but I always go back to the Batiste Instant hair refresh in the original scent, because one it smells great and works everytime, whether I am traveling or using it on the regular basis. 

I wish they had their travel sizes in India too!
