Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel cream review

Night time skin routines are usually where you pack in all of the actives and for me it is the most confusing. A one stop solution is what I opt for on days where I don't want to think a lot before going to sleep or I am super sleepy, like the Neutrogena bright boost gel cream.

I received the Neutrogena bright boost range in its entity as a PR and have been using different products at different points. But, out of the products that I tried I personally loved the gel cream the most, which is what I am reviewing today. 

The Neutrogena bright boost gel cream claims to help with a brighter complexion overall and on using it twice a day for week Neutrogena claims visible results. There are multiple AHAs or hydroxy acids in the composition of the Bright boost gel cream, so I have only restricted the usage at nights, but I can say you do get visible results in a short time.

Price and Availability

The Neutrogena Bright boost gel cream is available in two sizes - 15g and 50g. 

50 grams is what I have with me. It retails for 1290INR and is available on Nykaa , Myntra and Amazon.  

Product details

The gel cream is exactly how it feels like it sounds. The product is a lightweight gel-like translucent cream. The Neutrogena Bright boost gel cream has fragrance, a very light fruity-floral fragrance which takes a few minutes to fade away. 

I do not appreciate the fragrance, but since it is not bothersome, I am okay with it. 

You instantly get a fresh glowy skin on application of the gel cream, due to the presence of glitter in the cream. The cream is absorbed very easily and leaves your skin looking very bright. 

I follow up the gel-cream, with a moisturiser on days when I feel my skin is dry, specially in winters, but mostly this is it for summers. 

This helps with acne quite a bit, if you have small pimples, due to the AHA and PHA present in it.

Packaging

The Neutrogena bright boost gel cream comes in refillable jar. A bright pink color is used for the entire range and the translucent pink jar gives a signature Neutrogena look to the product. 

The product jar itself comes in a silver and pink carton packaging, with all details about the product clearly printed for the consumer. 

Personal experience

Even though I received this product in as a press sample, I have repurchased it a couple of times now because it is a perfect product for days when my skin is looking dull and I need to get the brightness, not whiteness mind you, back into my skin. 

I reach out for this quite a bit and it hasn't disappointed yet. 

As a caution, I would recommend keeping your routine very simple when using The Neutrogena bright boost gel cream due to the actives in it. I have sensitive skin and on some days the skin does experience a bit of tingling on application. I could do without the glitter and the fragrance, but since it delivers what it claims, I can overlook that.
