The Face Shop Rice water Bright Light Cleansing oil Review

The Face Shop Rice water Bright Light Cleansing oil Review

I reversed the order of publishing the review of the The Face Shop Rice water Bright cleansing duo. I had published the review of the foaming face wash a while back, but completely skipped on reviewing the The Face Shop Rice water Bright Light Cleansing oil. I suddenly remembered about the missing post when I placed my order for the cleansing oil recently.

Safe to say the review of the face shop cleaning oil from the Rice water bright range is on it's way to be a good one. The face shop foaming face wash is what I have majorly used with the set's cleansing oil and the I am reviewing accordingly. So let's start with the face shop cleansing oil review

Price :

The Face shop has two sizes of the Cleansing oil in India . The 55 ml a travel friendly size for 549 INR and a 150 ml pack for 1349 INR. Buy here

Product :

A very mildly sweet smelling transparent oil, that gives the perfect slip for melting off makeup. I have the cleansing oil in the 150 ml bottle and it comes in a pump packaging, which is such a lifesaver , because it helps dispensing the product and simplifies the process to get more product out with oily hands. The oil has a very light feel , spreads easily on face and provides enough slip to get your makeup off. The face shop cleansing oil as mentioned has a very mild fragrance, but I have noticed the fragrance doesn't last till the last drop of the product.

My Experience :

I can start by saying that The face shop rice water bright light cleansing oil has been a constant on my shelves. I have used multiple cleansing oils, but I come back to the face shop cleansing oil.
I will first share how I use it for double cleansing on a regular day and then share the cleansing oil's performance with various degrees of makeup.
So for a regular day, it is just skincare and sunscreen as I use the face shop cleansing oil at night to get the day off of my face. The cleansing oil, around 2 pumps of the product, melts into the face and emulsifies all the sunscreen, tinted or plain, with my skincare. Once I wash off the emulsification, I am left with light oil on my face, but that anyway needs to cleansed off with a face wash. A mild face wash works quite well in this case.

Light or heavy makeup is different in two aspects, I need around 4 pumps to emulsify all the makeup and deeply clean the skin, and second is I need to massage the face shop light cleansing oil for about a minute. Very lightly, though. Here I always prefer using the foaming face wash from the Face shop rice water bright range, as I have observed that that works the best.

In both the cases, my skin is left feeling absolutely clean, without any breakouts later and not stripped of all my natural oils.
