Dove Exfoliating Body Polish Review | Oatmeal and Calendula Oil

Body scrubs are arguably the most indulgent bath product for a regular bath day, but sometimes you need some quick and light exfoliation, for which body polishes are the best option. Dove Exfoliating body polish has been my most used product for the days I need a light exfoliation, especially during the season changes. 

My skin feels weird and dry even with a proper moisturization routine before and after winter. Regular exfoliation is a must during these times and that is when this exfoliator comes into play.

The Price of the full size body polish is 799 INR on MRP. There are many discounts available on line and you can purchase it in the range of 500 to 600 INR. 

 

Product

This is named very aptly. The dove exfoliating body polish is a body polish indeed. Usually body polishes are physical exfoliants but are on the gentle side of the exfoliants spectrum. Staying true to it this product has a very mildly exfoliating particle, small and rounded. Not sharp and coarse at all. The base of the body polish is not foaming.

On emulsification this product lathers in a smooth and creamy white lather but doesn't foam as such, giving a very luxe experience to a quick or an everything shower. 

It has fragrance, a very mild floral-fruity fragrance, but doesn't linger afterwards. I like that, but you may not, so pick wisely. 

There is not much of the product required for one time use and does a good job even in small quantity. The body polish is supposed to consist of Calendula oil and oatmeal, but both are not very evident in the  product in terms of look and feel, they are in terms of after effects. 

Packaging

The Dove exfoliating body polish comes in a tub packaging, without any kind of lid apart from the screw cap of the tub itself. I am a bit torn when it comes to a tub packaging, because it is difficult to not wet the product when you are in the shower, but makes for ease of access. 

Comes in a transparent tub too, with all details such as ingredients and usage instructions on the stickers in the tub.

My experience 

My experience has been great with the dove body polish. Love that the product is a great value for money, for the sole reason of how many uses I get from one tub of product. The gentle scrub is great on my sensitive skin and perfect for a regular exfoliation routine. 

I love that the product leaves my skin moisturised and not completely stripped dry. 

I would absolutely recommend this Dove Bdy polish, with oats and calendula oil . I am eager to try some other variants myself.
