Matte lipsticks are a huge trend right now, especially the liquid matte
lipsticks. I was really disappointed because the brands coming out with so
called liquid matte lipsticks failed to keep up with the claim, but finally,
FINALLY, Chambor has come out with a matte liquid lipstick that is actually
matte on the lips!!
Here I have the Chambor Extreme Wear Transfer proof Liquid Lipstick in the
shade 405 which, according to Chambor's claim is a long lasting transfer proof
liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its
extreme matte coverage provides a deep intense color in just one stroke.
Well, I put the claim to test. Read on to know more
Chambor's this range has 18 colors, mostly browns and neutrals. People are
comparing these with Colorpop matte lipsticks and some people said and I
observed as well (while swatching the shades at the store), that this range has
two to three shades which are dupes for Kylie's lip kit (not that I was going
to buy those overpriced lip kits, but it's good to know ).
Now, the shade 405, which I bought is a little out of my comfort zone.
I bought it for 845INR, But these were launched at a lesser price. |
Ingredients |
Shade - a dark vamp-y reddish purple burgundy. (Yeah, it sounds confusing, I
know! :P)
Applicator - It has a doe foot applicator, good for touch ups but I wouldn't recommend
using this to apply the liquid lipstick.
Packaging - I like the transparent bottle of the lipstick and the screw cap is very
secure. Love the holographic print!
My experience -
This liquid lipstick is very light on lips, survives around 5 -6 hours
without budging, Starts fading from the inner lips after around 5 hours. It
definitely IS transfer proof and it survives meals easily. It also is quite pigmented;
I am wearing just one layer of the lipstick here.
This takes some time to dry out and get matte, but after that, it stays
matte and put. So the biggest worry with matte lipsticks is that it makes lips
feel very dry, but I did not experience dryness with this. In fact it is pretty
comfortable. But make sure you prep your lips before applying this, or any
matte lipstick for that matter.
Lightly scrub your lips, apply a lip balm, wipe of the lip balm and then
apply. I use an oil based makeup remover to get this off easily, this cannot be
removed using soap and water, if you were wondering.

I will definitely get a few more brown based shades and a red, maybe ;).
Let me know if you have tried this range!
Loads of love,
