Himalaya Herbals Refereshing & clarifying toner review , Pocket friendly alchol free toner |
As far as toners are concerned, I have never really liked
them; I know they play an important role in the skincare routine. But, somehow
I didn’t want to use them.
For me toner always was any rose water and after laid my
hands on the Kama Ayurveda Pure Rosewater, I got more reasons not to use a
specific toner. So, after it got over I finally thought of giving toners a try.
I was looking for toners without alcohol, as alcohol in a
product helps the products to be absorbed by the skin by breaking a few
barriers, but also harms our skin, in the process. I also didn’t want to dish out a huge amount
for a toner, I know I might not use.
Himalaya Herbals Refereshing & clarifying toner || Alcohol free Toner in India |
So I picked up the Himalaya herbals Refreshing and
Clarifying Toner, when I hauled from the Himalaya Herbals store, here in
Bangalore. I had been using this, before I switched to my reliable rose water,
like I had explained in my Current Skincare Routine.
So let’s get to the review of this toner –
Packaging: - I
honestly like this sort of packaging; A plastic bottle, with tight flip cap. I
do not like the ones with the screw caps! UUUGGHHHH!!!!!!
Product: - The
toner is a light blue liquid, which smells really mild and floral. Fragrance is
a very important aspect for me and this toner passed in that area. I honestly
don’t know what toners WITH alcohol smell like, but I can say that this is
really mild.
My experience:-
The BASIC utility of a toner is to normalize your skin’s ph
level after cleansing/washing, which has a lot of effect on the size of
pores. This particular toner claims that
it minimizes oil secretion, and it does control that, but till an extent.
The
toner suits all skin types, so it is perfect for my combination skin. My skin
does not feel dry or overly oily after a few hours of using this. On applying
this , my skin never feels like it’s burning, not even my pimples burn :P!
After using this for over a month I just noticed one thing
in particular, it makes my skin slightly dull. But, also keeps my skin clear
and really supple. So, I would recommend this and also not recommend this! I
knowww, confusing right!? Well, let me point out the likes and dislikes.
Likes -
- Smells really mild
- Clears the excess dirt and oil
- Mild on skin
- No burning sensation
- Decent oil control
- Keeps skin clear
- Alcohol free
- Budget friendly
- Flip Cap packaging
Dislikes-
- Makes skin slightly dull
- No noticeable difference in pore size
Price: - 80 INR
for 100 ml
Must Have Meter –
I would give this a 6 on the must have meter. Because, this
has a lot of good points, but the fact that it makes my skin slightly dull
makes it loose 4 points. I would say that this is the most pocket friendly alcohol free toner available in India.
Have you tried this?? What is your favorite toner ??
