L'oreal Color Riche Le Vernis Top Coat in Confettis Review and Swatch || Similar to Maybelline Polka dots Clearly spotted?

After what seems like ages I can say that I got to try a top coat of the sort I wanted to , but I have to say that I had to pay a pretty high price for that ! But sometimes it is better to splurge and sometimes it is not. 

Read on to know if I regret splurging on the new top coat from L’oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis range or not. 

I had asked you all to guess which one I got for myself out of the 7 varieties, when I showed you all the 7 top coats.  

I went crazy when I first saw Sammy’s nails ( The Nailsaurus ) with Maybelline’s Polka dot clearly spotted on! I mean it was like love at first sight! Black and white hexes in a clear base was like my “Top coat Dream come true”. So, when I saw that L’oreal had launched one almost same as the Polka dot one, I didn’t think twice! [Though because of the price I thought about it 1 and a half times before buying it ! ]

I wanted to wear this with my most favourite and versatile nail color, but I unfortunately didn’t bring that one with me to Bangalore ! { I knoooooooww , Stupid right!?}

So, I went with my second favourite nail color {I have used this color in every nail art possible, but this one is my favourite using this very nail polish!}

 

Now let’s move on to the review –

Packaging:- Honestly, I like the packaging. Dainty and cute ! 

Brush:- It is too soft given the type of nail polish it is! It cannot hold on to the hex particles ad the brush it to thin for this top coat. So , I do Not like the brush.

First let me tell you what I liked :-

• Dries quickly
• Gives a semi matte finish
• It has tiny silver shimmers
• Two sizes of hexes
• Brush not good for the polish
• Makes the polish stay for 5 days chip free

Now what I did not like about the polish - 

•   Expensive!  Only 5 ml for 299 INR ! hmmmmmmmmmmm
• Difficult to remove
• Unequal distribution of the two sizes
•  The hexes fall out.
•  Brush not good for the polish
•  The hexes get concentrated at only one place

So basically I have mixed feeling , but like a said while showing you the 7 shades , that something is better than nothing, I am okay with this.

I do not regret buying this, but I am not absolutely thrilled with it as well. 

Now coming to the similarity/differences of clearly spotted and confettis :-

Clearly spotted has 4 sizes of hex and no silver shimmer. Dries glossy , not matte.

Must have meter- 

I am giving this a 7 only because this is something you will find rarely in India and also gives you super cute nails quickly, or else I would have given this a 5 keeping everything in mind.

I hope more such top coats are launched in India , but are reasonable priced.
