Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Review |
Suddenly in the Indian market
these days, the Ayurveda based brands are booming! I wanted to try products
from Kama Ayurveda for a long time and just because I am a bit reluctant
about online shopping (in case of these things) I did not get anything for
myself.
I started using the products from
Kama Ayurveda after a visit to their Kolkata store at Quest Mall. And I must
tell you this that I have started making up my mind for using all things from
Kama Ayurveda!
I am reviewing the much raved
about “Bringadi Intensive Hair treatment “ from them. This is basically an oil and it has been, many times, recommended by
the beauty experts of magazines like Cosmopolitan and Femina.
But, is it worth the 450 bucks
you spend for the 100 ml of oil, well, that’s for you to decide.

Packaging: - Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment comes in a small cube-ish plastic bottle with a
dropper (along with a stopper ) at the opening, so that you can take out only the
amount you need. The cap is screw cap. I wouldn’t advice carrying this with you
to places.
What is it made up of?
The ingredients list on the
bottle is very lightly printed, but it contains things like amla, bringraj and indigo. All the ingredients printed are with their
scientific name. The base of the oil is
sesame oil, which itself is very beneficial oil.
It reminded me of a blended oil my Mom
made for me when I was around 11-12 years old, using a variety of herb roots,
boiled in coconut oil and the oil was reduced to half the quantity. The smell
was almost the same to this, even my mom said so! She made that to change the
colour of my hair to at least a darker shade of brown, if not black because I
literally had chocolate brown hair and you know in the Indian society, it
wasn’t a norm and like everything else, which is not a norm, it was questioned
a lot, I was questioned a lot! I got tired, mom got tired and finally made the
oil up! And it worked! Thankfully! :D
Product details: - the smell is a very typical “Ayurvedic” smell
and some might not even like it, but, I didn’t find it bothersome. Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil is runny like it should be and gets absorbed easily if you lightly massage onto scalp.
But the quantity required to cover up the scalp is quite a bit.

My experience:-
The hair treatment claims to
reduce hair fall, greying and dandruff. It also claims to be naturally
conditioning (which mostly all oils are).
I can say that after using this my hair fall has considerably reduced,
I cannot though vouch for the greying of hair though; And as far as the
dandruff is considered, it kind of works.
Why Kind of? Because I have oily scalp, hence, oily dandruff and
that is very hard to get rid of. But I can say that my scalp feels really clean
for almost two days after using this, but then again dandruff returns but
is less every time. I hope within a few more uses dandruff will also go
away.
I usually apply this an hour
before I shampoo and it works fine and I can also skip on my conditioner.
So basically I like it because my hair fall has considerably reduced.
So would I recommend this? Well I
have mixed feeling about this hair oil, but I would say give it a shot if you
have an acute hair fall problem.
I would recommend using the 100ml
bottle first; just to test the waters and it costs 450 for 100ml and 875 for
250ml.
So basically, I would recommend this!
Price:- 450 INR
Quantity:- 100ml
Ratings:- 3.75/5 (-0.25 for it availability issues )
Phewww! This post turned out to
be quite long! Hope you find this helpful. :D
Have you used it before?? Do you like it??
