Indian make up blog, Kolkata : Oriflame Power Shine Juicy Lip gloss in Ripe Raspberry swatch, review and price
Pink, Pink , Pink, Pink, Pink!!
Well, that’s a lot of pink! :P
I
said on my Facebook page a couple days back that there is going to be some
serious “pink” stuff on the blog here for a few days and that has already started with this post! Don't Know what I am talking about!!?? Then check it out here!
Well, continuing with the “pink”
fever, I am here with the review of an extremely girly pink lip gloss!
OMG did I just say “pink”, “girly”
and “lip gloss” in the same sentence!? That is a heavy dose of girly stuff just
like the lip gloss I have for you here!
It is the Power Shine Juicy Lip
Gloss from Oriflame, in the shade Ripe Raspberry (26561.1)!
So, without wasting any more time
let’s get on with the review of this lip gloss!
Color: - the color is bright
light pink or baby pink as we might say! The exact shade of a girly pink *winks*
and silver glitters are abundant in
the lip gloss which makes it even better! And the best part is that the
glitters are not over the top at all, it subtly adds that glittery punch to the
lip gloss!
Packaging: - The lip gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with
a teal screw cap (made of plastic) which holds the applicator. I adore the
designs on the tube. It is sleek and
light weight so perfect for carrying in your purse.
Texture and pigmentation: - The lip gloss itself is something I
like because it settles after sometime
and is not very sticky, but for the first few minutes, like ten minutes or so,
it feels kind of heavy on the lips but after settling it is pretty comfortable.
I like the slightly runny, creamy
texture which spreads easily. And gives sheer
to medium coverage on the lips. And it’s build-able. It hides slight pigmentation too.
Longevity: - Since it is a lip gloss I did not expect a long time
wear, but it stays nicely for 3+ hours , but transfers easily so if you are
having a meal, you might need a touch up. It fades without leaving any tint and
I like that.
My experience: - I love the fact that it has a very faint fragrance
which fades after a few minutes. The one thing I do not like is the applicator.
I did not like it much because it is a rubbery, flat applicator, but I also like
that it is not the brush kind of applicator which can accrue bacteria! So I
have mixed felling about the flat, rubbery applicator but apart from that I am
happy with the lip gloss.
As it is pretty comfortable even moisturising
on the lips, but on very few occasions
it has given me a slight burning sensation
on the lips. :D And since the ingredients are not mentioned it might me
something to be bothered about.
