Indian makeup blog, Kolkata: Maybelline colorama Absinto review and swatch
"I hate cosmetic companies. They get you addicted to the perfect lipstick or nail polish , then six months later they discontinue it!".
Do you remember Denise saying this while on the boat after loosing her favorite nail polish!? In the movie, P.S. I love you (please don't tell me you haven't seen the movie!!!!)
I have a favorite range too, which now seems to be completely ignored now by Maybelline.
After the launch of the Maybelline colorshow nail polishes,
these have been ignored. But I would like to say that the Colorama range from
Maybelline is equally good or even better!
The number of shades in this collection is less, but I like
the formula and finish of this range!
I am reviewing my favorite color from the collection today,
Absinto.
Shade: - A pretty
pastel green, looks like mint color. It has tiny silver shimmers which are
almost invisible and just add to the finish.
Packaging:- Like
the long white handle makes application easy.
Brush:- Medium
sized brush, good for precise application. balances the runny nail polish.
Texture: - Runny
and pretty sheer, needs two coats to become opaque.
Finish: - glossy
finish and stays for 2-3 days and settles nicely while drying. Has no smell at
all!
Longevity: -
stays nicely without chipping for 3-4 days ,without top coat.
Nail art: - since
the finish is smooth makes a good base for nail art and is also good for
designs due to its decent pigmentation. I did this vintage rose nail art withabsinto as the base.
Price:- 100 INR
Quantity:- 8 ml
Rating:- 5/5
I would highly recommend this.
Have you tried this shade?? Do you like the colorama
collection?
