Oriflame Giordani Gold Lacque Brilliance in Pink Carat Review, Swatches and price in India

Kolkata it has started raining, so officially monsoons are here (Please stay
tuned for something related to bright colors, I automatically switch into the “color-overload”
mode in this gloomy weather!).

Well, last month Oriflame launched a new collection of nail
polish in their Giordani Gold range, With 5 classic shades to choose from. I
have the shade Pink Carat here and let’s see how it fared under my scanner.

Oriflame claims that it has a salon inspired formula for
colour intensity, high shine and nail care. They also claim that this gives
long lasting, chip resistant finish.
Packaging: I love the pink and gold cardboard packaging, very classy. The nail polish bottle is a glass bottle and is also very classy. I like the fact that it comes in a box.
Application: The first coat gets uneven;
I needed 5 coats to get the actual color and 3 to make it opaque.
Brush: The brush is a thick, soft
bristled brush, which I liked, as it makes it easy for even application.
Wearability: This is really something
that got my attention, stays for 4 days chip free.
Nail Art: Good for nail art, even with
the high amount of glitter the final finish is even. Can be used as a base.
Colour: Though
its name is “Pink carat” , the base colour is a light coral pink and has a lot
of golden glitters. Though, sadly due to so many coats it gets subdued and is
barely visible.
My experience: -
I like the application and love the fact that it stayed for almost six days on my nails with slight chipping. But I
do not like the fact that I have to use 5 coats to get the actual color on my
nails.
I would like to try a dark shade from this range and see if
it needs more than 3 coats, as I really like the fact that what the company
claims is actually true- long lasting, chip free finish.
