Metallic Ikat nail art | OMD2 Challenge day 13

There is a lot going on in my life right now! 

Lots of things to do, and sadly I cannot find time for the things I enjoy! I had decided to take part in the #OMD2challenge for the whole month but couldn’t. So, I made peace with myself by at least doing one nail art. 

 

For the 13^th day the theme is Ikat nail art, and I wanted to try this for a long time. Ikat is already my favourite type of hand loom, though internationally it is better known as print.

This is a hand loom pattern from the state of Odisha, in India. 

So , the entry for today’s theme is-

I have used 3 colors 

Maybelline Colorshow Porcelainparty

Maybelline Colorshow Miss-you-blue

Maybelline Colorama Black

Maybelline Colorshow Crystal clear

I have used Miss-you-Blue as the base as I wanted the base to be metallic. I made the Ikat pattern with the porcelain party and black and sealed it off with two coats of Crystal clear.
