BLUR India | review and products I loved

Good products are always something that outlasts trends! That being said, innovation on making something great should not stop, that is what BLUR India understands very well, and it shows across the array of their Beauty products. I recently tried a few of Blur India's products and Boy, Am I impressed! 

Let's go through an overview of the brand, and will share my overall impressions on the products I tried from Blur. Do not worry, I will soon share reviews in details in the coming months, but for this post we'll limit to my overall impressions. 

Blur is a young Indian brand, that caters to young and old beauty enthusiasts alike with fun and well formulated beauty products. I love their quirky messaging and the names of their products. They believe in making your day, everyday with these little details, when you use a Blur lipstick or eye product. Blur India makes Vegan, Cruelty free products, so their products are not tested on animals and the ingredients of each product is taken very seriously by them. They have made the effort of listing down the details of each ingredient used in their beauty products here , if you would like to know more about the clean ingredients in the quirky named makeup products. 

Website and Shopping experience At Blur India 

I love a no nonsense shopping experience when shopping online. Blur India's website is cutesy, clean and just like I want, no nonsense. Easy to see their new launches, offer or value bundles, various product listings all in one place. Love how their products are categorised according to the type of products. So for eyes, lips,fragrance, Blur website has various categories clearly called out for you to browse. 

All lip products listed are swatched on different skin tones for your reference which helps a lot for me to decide. 

Blur has all available payment options too, so that's a breeze. 

I received my order in a couple of days and was blown away by how beautiful it smelled! Honestly, great first impressions. I had ordered their solid perfumes and could vouch for those without even opening my package! 

Summing it up, great place to shop from online, received my products quickly with a great first impression. 

Overall Packaging experience 

Everything I received was securely packed with bubble wrap and did not suffer any damage. The packaging and the branding on them is a separate matter. I adore the branding they have done, the cutesy, clean and soft girl aesthetic Blur is targeting with the branding is nice. But for my personal taste it is somewhere in between, I love their messaging and branding as you can see on the box below, but the overall aesthetic doesn't quite hit the spot yet. I would prefer if they stuck with one kind of branding, either cutesy or clean, but that is my personal take. 

However,I loved the packaging and branding on the "It's Giving Honey!" Lip oils, which is their latest launch, adore how they stuck with the cutesy theme overall with stickers, design of the lip oil boxes. So I think they are also taking a direction for their branding now, given that they are a young Indian company, who have already cracked their products' formulations, this would follow soon. 

First impressions 

Blur India Pocket Sized Solid Perfumes 

One of their best sellers and I can understand why. I have been wearing these solid perfumes for a week now. I love how easy they are to carry with you and the fragrances are really warm and amazing.

The available variants are many but the 4 I have tried are smells like a candy store, smells like I'm dipped in berries , smells like a warm hug and smells like fresh cut flowers.

My top picks from these are Smells like Fresh Cut flowers - it has a fresh opening note of Frangipani or Champa followed by a warm floral scent lingering, absolutely the thing I needed for summers. And Smells like a warm hug - this is my favorite fragrance because for a coffee addict like me, this is actually a warm hug. The fragrance reminds me of walking into a coffee shop with warm chocolate-y and coffee notes opening with a  lingering vanilla. 

The Packet sized perfumes are really conveniently packed, the branding on this and the metal tins are perfect, and I can not fault the product much. The lasting time for the solid perfumes is a bit less, but since you can carry it and touch it up after a couple hours it is not an issue. An impressive point to note is how easy the little boxes are to open,  with sliding lids, it's super easy to actually get to the solid perfumes, which has been a problem with other brands for me.

Blur India It's Giving Honey Juicy Thick Lip Oil 

The Lip oils have won my heart!! I can be spotted wearing this constantly now and I think this entire summer. Right amount of tint in each shade, right amount of hydration for lips and just the perfect honey like texture in combination with a soft doe foot applicator makes for a bomb product!! 

The It's Giving Honey Juicy Thick Lip Oil is everything it says in the name. The Honey like texture is not because this has honey, but the lip oil is thick like Honey, sits on lips for a really long time for a glossy product making my lips look absolutely juicy! They have 5 color options, I have 4 with me, Honey, watermelon, strawberry and caramel. I have been using Honey non stop, even though it is a gold gloss. Watermelon is a light pink, perfect to wear casually out for anything. I am yet to try strawberry and caramel on myself, but they are the more pigmented colors in the product range and would look gorgeous on deeper skin tones. 

Blur India Big Glitter Energy Metalic Eye Shadow 

Even though it is a metallic eye shadow, the formulation is safe for use on lips and cheeks too! The Shade - Blushing, impressed me right away as I tried it on and it melted away into the skin, giving this almost skin like effect with just a new color! And once set, the eye shadow did not budge, I loved how easy it is to apply with an applicator and the Creamy-powdery texture of it. I am yet to wear this on a full face of makeup, but I can already say that I will be raving about this with Big Glitter Energy.

Blur India BLURstick Creamy bullet Lipstick + Blush + Eyeshadow

I adore a multi-utility product. I tried the BLURstick in Ladies and gentlemen...ME! a soft cool toned  brown perfect for everyday looks, and I can safely say I am convinced that brown looks good on me. The BLURsticks are really creamy,easy to work with and  long lasting. That's everything I would look for in a product designed for everyday use. 

I love the magnetic click when the lipstick bullet closes, even though minimal , I personally liked the packaging on this, from a minimal perspective. 

Blur India Call Me daddy Liquid Matte Lipsticks + Mini Lipsticks 

I really am confused as to why they have made the Mini lipstick sizes, because these matte lipsticks, STAY! I mean I wore them for hours and through drinking and eating and the Blur Call Me daddy Liquid lipsticks stayed put! I usually use Mini Lipsticks to touch up the shade I am wearing cause they are easy to carry, but in this case I did not need them. But It is a great way to try out the shades in this range which is a bestseller for Blur India.

The matte lipsticks have quickly become one of my favorite formulations with their comfortable yet longwear. Blur says this can be worn on the cheek as well, cause well just to have fun, but I am a bit scared to put this long lasting on my cheek. But when I do write the detailed review, I will include how this is faring on the cheeks. 

Overall Experience with BLUR India

All in all I can say that I am really happy I came across BLUR India as a brand, cause their products are actually mind blowing! Try the Lip Oil and the matte lipstick, I am sure you will join me on the band wagon for Blur too then! I have always been left unimpressed by many Vegan and cruelty free makeup brands, because their products lacked something or the other, which is not the case with BLUR India. Even though they are a clean beauty brand, they cater to every requirement of each product be it a lip oil or and eyeshadow. Very impressive!
