Pencil eyeliners are a live saver! L’Oreal Paris came out with
a lovely Cannes collection this year as well and this time they introduced the
Silkissime eyeliners in a few shades like silver, purple, gold, etc. Today, I am
reviewing the Gold colored liner and If you follow me on snapchat ( Priyanjana_mns
is my ID), then you know that I have been raving about it!
Let’s get started with the review then!
This liner is from the Infallible range of L’Oreal, which is
their long wear makeup range.
Price – 575 INR for1.10g
Packaging –
I like the packaging, no nonsense packaging with all the
details on the pack. The pencil itself has a transparent cap. The liner is a pencil liner, so to use the product you need
to sharpen the pencil, hence a little product wastage happens.
Product –
it's sort of a "liquid pencil liner"It literally
glides on my eyelids and is easy to be removed using a Bi- phased and oil based
makeup remover. It takes a little time to dry out. The liner is fully opaque
with two coats of the liner.
Shade –
This shade is called “Gold” and the color is also a simple
yellow based gold with a metallic finish. I really like that there is no chunky
shimmer in this, because I like subtle metallic eyeliners.

My experience –
They claim that this stays for 16hr and is a long wear liner.
I would say it is a long wear liner, but only if you let it dry for like 10
minutes. When I don’t rub my eyes this stays on beautifully for the whole day.
But, when I do rub my eyes a lot (which is more often) , this starts fading
after 4-5 hours , but it still stays the whole day.
I really like that the application is really good and
smooth. The shade is very pigmented as well, but it pops better if you apply
two coats. Apart from the product wastage, I really like this. Plus if you
think about it, all liners which
smoothly glide on skin come in a pencil packaging, I think otherwise they will
break or something.
This is my new go-to eye liner! I really like how subtle but
awesome it looks!
